Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to the website pollakcandies.com and to every order placed with Pollak Candies, 237 E Main St, Carnegie, PA 15106, USA. Placing an order with us, by telephone, by email or at the counter, means you accept them.

Orders are confirmed by us, not by the website. The site carries no checkout and no basket; it describes what we make and how to reach us. An order exists once we have confirmed the items, the quantity, the price and the pickup date back to you. Until that confirmation is given, nothing is reserved and nothing is being cooked.

Prices are quoted at the time of confirmation and hold for that order. Because our products are made in small batches from ingredients whose cost moves, prices quoted on an earlier order do not carry over to a later one. Weights are given before packing and small variation between tins of the same size is normal.

All orders are collected in person at the shop. We do not ship, and we do not arrange courier delivery on your behalf. Confectionery is perishable and is prepared for the date you have given us, so an order not collected within three days of that date may be disposed of and cannot be refunded.

Corporate gift tin orders begin at ten tins. For orders of that size we may ask for confirmation in writing and for a deposit before production begins. Changes to quantity or assortment can be made until production starts and not afterwards, since the batch will already have been cooked for your order.

Everything is produced in one small kitchen that also handles nuts, dairy, wheat and soy. We will describe the ingredients of any item accurately on request, but we cannot guarantee that any product is free from a given allergen, and you accept that risk when ordering.
